About The Position

Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions Inc. is seeking an AI and Automation Engineer to join their Finance AI & Analytics team. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days onsite per week in either Boise, Idaho or Plano, Texas. The team is responsible for driving AI transformation within the finance organization by building data infrastructure, AI agents, and analytics capabilities. The AI and Automation Engineer will own the automation layer, eliminating manual work through RPA bots and increasingly incorporating AI-powered automation. This role offers high ownership with direct visibility to the CFO and senior finance stakeholders, and involves collaboration with data engineers, an analytics engineer, and a data analyst, reporting to the Head of Finance AI & Analytics.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience building and owning production RPA bots end-to-end
  • Proficiency in at least one major RPA platform such as UiPath, Power Automate, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, or equivalent
  • SQL proficiency for working with source data and building queries
  • Python or VBA scripting for automation logic and integrations
  • Experience integrating with enterprise systems via APIs, file transfers, or screen automation
  • Strong understanding of automation governance including version control, exception handling, and credential management
  • Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal technical oversight
  • Self-starter mentality, you identify problems and solve them without waiting to be asked

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building AI-powered automations using LLMs, Claude, or agentic AI frameworks
  • Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or equivalent
  • Experience supporting AI agents or building tool integrations for them
  • Finance domain knowledge including FP&A, billing, revenue, or OPEX processes
  • Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data warehouses
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, SAP, or Microsoft 365 data structures and data quality challenges
  • Background on a small team where you wore multiple hats

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain RPA bots and automation workflows that eliminate manual finance work
  • Automate recurring report generation and distribution across the finance organization
  • Build automations that support core finance processes including AP/AR, reconciliations, and the monthly close
  • Integrate automations across enterprise systems including SAP, Salesforce, Snowflake, and Microsoft 365
  • Develop and orchestrate AI-powered automation workflows that combine RPA with finance AI agents
  • Maintain a backlog of automation opportunities and prioritize them based on time saved and risk reduced
  • Establish monitoring, error handling, and governance for production bots
  • Partner with finance business partners to identify and document automation candidates
  • Identify automation gaps and proactively resolve them without being directed to
  • Contribute to the team's automation and AI roadmap and technical decision-making
