About The Position

ATTOM is seeking its first AI Automation Engineer to transition the company from experimental AI usage to a structured, organization-wide program focused on responsibly identifying, evaluating, and scaling AI initiatives. This role operates at the intersection of business operations and applied AI. The engineer will collaborate with department leaders across the company to understand their workflows and implement AI-powered integrations that deliver tangible productivity improvements. The ideal candidate will possess strong business acumen and the technical skills to directly utilize AI and automation tools to streamline processes, accelerate workflows, and increase organizational capacity. This position reports directly to the Chief of Staff and is central to ATTOM's AI enablement strategy.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience integrating AI into real business workflows.
  • Hands-on familiarity with AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) and workflow automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Make, n8n, Retool).
  • Understanding of system integration concepts, including connecting AI to enterprise applications and data flows for automation.
  • Working knowledge of data sensitivity and security, understanding which data can and cannot be used with external AI platforms.
  • Experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or scripting (e.g., Python), with a proven record of building agents.
  • 3+ years in business operations, strategy, consulting, or a cross-functional role, demonstrating an understanding of organizational dynamics.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills to diagnose operational friction, identify automation opportunities, and translate them into prioritized, business-driven initiatives.
  • Highly effective communication skills, capable of engaging with VP and C-suite levels and making complex concepts accessible to all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to drive adoption of new tools or processes across diverse functions and stakeholders.
  • Comfort coordinating with Legal, HR, IT, and Security for risk management and responsible implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with department leaders across Sales, Finance, Operations, Product, and People to understand their operational workflows, inputs, outputs, handoffs, and friction points, identifying opportunities for meaningful AI integration.
  • Deploy AI-powered solutions, including LLM workflows, document processing tools, internal assistants, and system integrations, using approved platforms and adhering to ATTOM's data classification policy.
  • Coordinate and evaluate cross-functional AI pilots using ATTOM's prioritization framework, assessing value potential, implementation effort, and people impact.
  • Maintain a consolidated view of ongoing AI initiatives, identify successful implementations, and provide clear recommendations for scaling, iterating, or discontinuing efforts.
  • Own the AI enablement roadmap by maintaining a prioritized pipeline of AI initiatives and communicating progress to leadership through business metrics such as time saved, costs reduced, and throughput improved.
  • Contribute to quarterly executive readouts on AI adoption, value, and risk.
  • Support AI literacy and adoption across the organization by partnering with the Chief People Officer on enablement programs, lunch-and-learns, and rollout efforts, translating technical concepts into accessible language.
  • Contribute to AI governance and responsible deployment by working with the CIO and coordinating with Legal, HR, and Security to ensure compliance with ATTOM's data classification policy, vendor approval process, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proactively flag risks and document AI implementations and their operational mechanisms.
