About The Position

PCL Industrial Construction Co. is hiring an AI Analyst in Houston, Texas, to help turn innovative ideas into practical AI and data solutions for construction operations. The role works with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, prioritize use cases, build and test AI-enabled tools, and support their successful adoption across the organization. It also contributes to evaluating emerging AI technologies and ensuring solutions meet data privacy and security standards.

Requirements

Degree or diploma in computing science, information technology, engineering, data science, business administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
3–5 years of progressive experience in software development, data science, business analysis, or technology implementation.
Genuine enthusiasm for AI, with a track record of applying AI tools to solve real problems at work or in personal projects.
Hands-on experience building with AI tools, such as scripting, low-code automation, or working with APIs.
Demonstrated business acumen, including process mapping and requirements documentation, and the ability to translate business needs into AI-enabled solutions that improve operational workflows and outcomes.
Strong communication, collaboration, and influencing skills, including the ability to explain AI clearly to field and project teams, from superintendents to executives, and support data-driven decision-making.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work through ambiguous problems and find practical solutions.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Python, or with training and fine-tuning models.

Responsibilities

Work with cross-functional teams to identify and apply AI solutions to operational workflows and processes.
Analyze workflows to define problems and prioritize AI use cases based on value, impact, feasibility, and risk; contribute to business cases and implementation plans.
Design, build, and configure AI solutions, including agents, automations, and integrations, using requirements gathered from business and technical teams.
Prototype and test AI solutions, including designing prompts and evaluating model outputs for accuracy and reliability.
Support user acceptance testing and monitor usage, accuracy, and performance of AI-enabled tools, ensuring they meet data privacy and security standards.
Help build user confidence and capability with AI-enabled tools through training, guidance, and ongoing support.
Stay informed about emerging AI technologies and contribute to evaluating and recommending tools and platforms.
