About The Position
AGRILAND FS is looking for a person wanting to work in sales as a consultant. This role combines a strong work ethic and desire to learn with the company's training and development programs to make a direct impact on a customer's entire acre, with a focus on seed, fertilizer, crop protection, and precision farming.
Requirements
- Minimum of a two or four year degree or equivalent experience in sales or an agriculture related industry
- Strong agricultural aptitude with experience learning on the job to become an expert
- Examples of influencing others either in a leadership or sales relationship
- Strong business skills, such as ability to collaborate, communication skills, dedicated customer focus, and solid decision-making abilities
- Experience working hours beyond normal to meet and exceed the needs of a customer
Nice To Haves
- Exposure or passion for a rural culture and ag
- Desire to learn
Responsibilities
- Purposely schedule in person meetings with farmers to develop a professional relationship and learn about their agronomy needs
- Assist operations with the leadership, scheduling and follow up with customers
- Develop agronomy skills and actively pursue opportunities to identify and solve business and agronomy challenges for customers
