About The Position

Capital Farm Credit's Summer 2027 internship offers students hands-on experience in agricultural finance while working alongside professionals who serve farmers, ranchers, and rural communities across Texas. The Agricultural Appraisal Intern works closely with a local appraiser, assisting with property analysis and preparing sales documentation for database entry. The experience provides exposure to appraisal processes and property valuation methods, as well as insight into the work of loan officers, analysts, appraisers, and administrators. The intern will gain practical experience inspecting property, collecting and analyzing sales, and estimating the value of a non-complex property. The program also includes tours of agricultural operations, visits to Capital Farm Credit offices, job shadowing, professional development and networking activities, and developing working knowledge of systems and technology used in agricultural lending and credit operations. Interns complete a summer project and present it to executive leadership during the closing session. The internship runs May 26 through August 12, 2027, and is full-time and in person at the assigned Capital Farm Credit office. Interns must live within a reasonable commuting distance and have reliable transportation for work and required travel. Three in-person events at the headquarters in College Station, Texas, are required: orientation May 26–28, a mid-summer session tentatively scheduled for the week of July 5, and a closing session August 12. Mileage reimbursement and overnight accommodations may be provided for required events when applicable. The hourly rate is $18. Eligible interns who relocate may receive a $1,500 relocation stipend.
