About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking an Agile Scrum Master for a 12-month contract opportunity with a Global Financial Institution. This onsite role is located in Denver, CO, Chicago, IL, or Washington, DC. The Scrum Master will lead and direct agile project teams to achieve project-defined business outcomes, serving as a process coach within a cross-functional software development team. Key responsibilities include ensuring the team adheres to agile values, identifying and resolving risks and impediments, and facilitating team progress.

Requirements

  • 8 years of demonstrable experience of Scrum Management
  • Strong organization and facilitation skills, including the ability to prioritize work and drive out deadlines
  • Expert ability to track, manage and resolve dependencies, blockers, issues, and risks
  • Strong analytical skills and drive to take initiative and be proactive to collect details needed to address blockers
  • Strong ability to lead, influence and drive team efforts and results
  • Must work well with internal and external team members, with an ability to manage and resolve conflicts collaboratively and with patience
  • Advanced experience in JIRA, Confluence, and Release Management tools
  • Excellent written, oral communication, and presentation skills
  • Hands-on experience with managing large scale agile, technical projects and executive communications
  • Able to work independently with limited supervision
  • Experience building dashboards and filtering/lookups in Jira
  • Experience working in an Agile development process and deep understanding of various phases of the Software Development Life Cycle

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or understanding of SOAR, SIEM, TINES
  • Understanding of enterprise change standards

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct agile project teams to deliver the project-defined business outcomes
  • Act as a process coach within a cross-functional software development team
  • Guide the team's adherence to the agile values and principles within the software development lifecycle
  • Support the team in identifying risk, identifying proposed solutions for identified issues, and leading the removal of impediments
  • Manage scrum team coordination, work with Product Owners and Technical Leads in managing the backlog, and provide support for backlog related activities
  • Consult and coach other Scrum Teams and support the development of Agile Scrum processes
