About The Position

B.H. Inc. is hiring a full-time Aggregates and Paving Estimator to prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for base and paving projects. The role includes conducting takeoffs and pricing for base layers, asphalt paving, and related work. The position is based in either the North Salt Lake or Ogden office. The salary is $110,000–$140,000, depending on experience, and is paid weekly. The estimator will work in a professional setting and adhere to high ethical standards.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a similar field, or equivalent construction experience.
3–5 years of previous aggregates and paving estimating experience.
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and owners.
Experience with Excel, Word, Bluebeam, Planswift, TBC, Agtek, and Estimate (B2W).

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, growth orientation, efficiency, pride in work, attention to safety, and customer service skills are sought.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for base and paving projects.
Conduct takeoffs and pricing for base layers, asphalt paving, and related tasks.
Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and owners.
Learn and work with estimating processes, including bid invitations, takeoffs, estimating software, and plan and specification review.
