About The Position

The Réseau Express Métropolitain (REM) is an automated light rail network designed to simplify travel in the greater Montreal area. It is one of the largest automated transport networks in the world and the most significant public transport project undertaken in Quebec in the last 50 years, spanning 67 km with 26 stations. Joining the REM team offers a unique opportunity to be part of a customer service team deployed across the entire REM network for a highly visible and mobilizing project. The REM customer service agent interacts with clients in stations and while traveling, helping thousands of travelers have a pleasant transport experience and answering their questions related to their journeys.

Requirements

  • High school or college diploma or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Service-oriented, placing the customer at the center of your concerns
  • Communication skills in French and English, both oral and written
  • Interpersonal skills, courtesy, and politeness
  • Autonomy, dynamism, and strong communication skills
  • Good computer skills – Microsoft Office Suite and others
  • Structured and rigorous approach
  • Good stress management and ability to work under pressure
  • Proactivity and initiative
  • Knowledge of a language other than French, specifically English, as clients and suppliers you will interact with are primarily English-speaking and located outside Quebec

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the public transport sector or public sector
  • Experience with the public

Responsibilities

  • Offer complete customer service as well as a warm and courteous welcome
  • Inform, answer, and advise clients according to their needs
  • Handle specific requests and client problems on-site to lead to a quick and adequate resolution
  • Adopt a warm attitude that exceeds client expectations
  • Maintain frequent contact with different departments
  • Write daily reports and share them with the direct supervisor
