The internship program will run from Monday, June 7th, 2027, to Friday, August 13th, 2027. Within our Agency Lending business, opportunities exist within our Underwriting and Deal Management teams. Underwriting - Analyze potential loans to ensure they meet appropriate standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include handling the due diligence process with internal and external parties, analyzing investment strategy, cash flow assumptions, and market data, and completing detailed investment packages for credit approval. Portfolio or Deal Management – Key responsibilities include assisting credit officers in achieving the overall domestic and international mortgage production goals and serving as a resource for origination teams on policies and procedures throughout the life cycle of a deal.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s program graduating between December 2027 and May 2028
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0

  • Finance, Economics, or Real Estate majors preferred but not required
  • Strong quantitative skills and proven analytical ability

Responsibilities

  • Support the Real Estate Investment team in analyzing real estate debt transactions involving various capital sources such as Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and FHA.
  • Assist with analytical tasks including market research, due diligence tracking, financial modeling, and preparation of materials for loan submissions across a range of multifamily property types.
  • Help build and maintain Excel-based financial models to support property valuation and borrower credit assessments, with guidance from senior team members.

Benefits

  • The salary range for this role is $35.00 to $40.00 an hour. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
