About The Position

The Agency Product Intern at Modern Woodmen of America will support the Agency Products team through product research, reporting, training material development, and process documentation. This summer internship offers exposure to financial services products, field support, product administration, and cross-functional collaboration. Modern Woodmen of America is one of the nation’s largest fraternal benefit societies, with assets over $18 billion. Fraternals are unique membership organizations that pair the “member-owned” characteristic of a mutual insurance company with the “social mission” characteristic of a service organization. They unite individuals with common bonds, provide a variety of life insurance and investment products, and form one of the nation’s most effective volunteer networks.

Requirements

  • Student pursuing a degree in business, finance, data analytics, communications, marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to organize information, manage details, conduct research, and work collaboratively.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn.

Nice To Haves

  • Power BI or data visualization experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Help document product administration processes, system updates, vendor-related workflows, and recurring department procedures.
  • Create, update, and review product reports and assist with summarizing results for Home Office staff, Field management, and Field representatives.
  • Assist with data organization, spreadsheet updates, and report preparation using Microsoft Excel and other department tools.
  • Participate in team meetings and cross-functional discussions to learn how products are developed, maintained, and supported.
  • Build professional relationships with Home Office staff and gain exposure to Field support, product administration, and business operations.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
