About The Position

This position allows for partial telework with management approval. Currently, this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship or STEM OPT extensions. We’re recruiting to fill an Agency Procurement & Program Administrator role on the Finance & Contracts team within the Office of Behavioral Health (OBH). This position drafts and develops contractual agreements to include the completion of all required language, documentation, budget reviews, and works closely with leadership, program managers, finance, and contract management on all procurement activities. The ideal candidate meets the requirements and is a motivated team player who works well independently and collaborates effectively with others to achieve success. The Agency Procurement & Program Administrator position is an integral part of the Finance & Contracts team at OBH, working closely with program managers to procure behavioral health services, construct contracts, and monitor contract performance. OBH administers roughly 300 provider contracts annually and this essential position assists in the financial planning, monitoring, and evaluation of substance use disorder and mental health programs and services and collaborates across OBH, the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), and other State Agencies to ensure successful implementation of services. The position analyzes the performance of OBH contracts by working with program managers, finance staff, and by running reports to forecast spending projections to assist in making informed allocation decisions.

Requirements

  • Advanced education, training, and/or experience in contract administration, accounting, procurement, project management, financial management, or another related field.
  • Demonstrate experience coordinating multifaceted projects.
  • Exceptional written communication and technical writing skills, preferably related to contracts and/or RFP’s.
  • Ability to interpret and present large amounts of data in a clear, accurate, and concise way.
  • Ability to understand budgets and use financial data to tell a story.

Responsibilities
