About The Position

The Agency Manager will work directly with apprenticeship sites to advise students toward the completion of degrees while providing excellent customer service to business and industry clients. Advising apprenticeship students includes reviewing transcripts and prior work experience, registering students in appropriate courses, and ensuring compliance with college student policies. The Agency Manager will assist students in the completion of proper assessment tests and forms. This position will work closely with the Administrative Assistant.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent education and/or experience in a business, educational, technical discipline, or related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service or sales experience required.
  • Ability to work with private business to foster relationships and create solutions for industry partners.
  • Ability to create, manage, and close projects.
  • Ability to deliver presentations to small and large groups.
  • Ability to positively interact with external and internal personnel and build positive relationships.
  • Excellent computers skills and versed in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to drive/travel to agency sites for meetings and interactions.
  • Ability to learn the curriculum process and requirements at NSCC.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem solving, and analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in higher education preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and build relationships with the appropriate leaders at each site.
  • Visit each site a minimum of 3 times per year.
  • Communicate degree information among apprentices and the training centers.
  • Work with apprentices to assist them toward completion of degrees.
  • Review transcripts and process transfer of credit consistent with college policies.
  • Advise students in testing and registration processes.
  • Advise students in the college graduation process.
  • Assist with responding to written requests on our program for prospective new apprentice partnerships.
  • Lead projects as determined with the Vice President – Workforce Development.
  • Other duties as assigned.
