About The Position

The Virginia Department of Health is seeking an Agency Management Analyst Senior to support its procurement and general services operations. This role involves policy development, data analysis, research, reporting, and administrative support. The position is responsible for drafting operational policies and procedures, tracking the implementation of audit corrective actions, and supporting the administrative functions of procurement and general services staff under the direction of the Office Director. Additionally, the analyst will conduct studies and make recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented analyst capable of independently researching complex information, translating data into clear and actionable reports, and collaborating effectively with agency staff and leadership.

Requirements

  • Experience in planning and analytical tasks, providing management with a comprehensive view of operations.
  • Ability to conduct analytical and statistical research, provide alternative solutions, and assess long-range impacts of work processes and recommendations reported in studies and reports.
  • Experience in drafting operational policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in performing data collection, research, organizational studies, and statistical analysis.
  • Knowledge of research methodologies, statistical and analytical techniques, and organizational theory and planning.
  • Experience tracking and reporting on finance and budget activities.
  • Working knowledge of the Department of General Services procurement, general services, facilities, and fleet management policies and procedures.
  • Experience managing programs and communicating effectively, both orally and in writing, including in training sessions.

  • Experience in public or private procurement and operational analysis.
  • Strong computer skills.
