About The Position

Farmers Insurance District 40 is seeking a driven and strategic Agency Business Consultant to mentor and support its newest agencies as they lay the groundwork for growth. As an Agency Business Consultant, you will be a trusted advisor to new agency owners, assisting them with business planning, sales strategy development, and best practice implementation. You’ll have a unique opportunity to directly impact the success of multiple start-up agencies and further your own growth in a leadership-focused environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in business consulting, sales leadership, or agency operations
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, and adept at managing multiple new agency partnerships
  • Insurance experience and active P&C or Life & Health licenses required

Responsibilities

  • Guide new agency owners through the startup process, from licensing to business launch
  • Collaborate to develop customized business strategies focused on sales, marketing, and customer retention
  • Provide hands-on support for recruiting, onboarding, and training staff
  • Monitor new agency performance, conduct regular reviews, and deliver targeted coaching to accelerate growth
  • Recommend improvements in operations, champion technology adoption, and promote efficient business practices
  • Deliver training on Farmers products, underwriting guidelines, and emerging market trends
  • Serve as a mentor and resource, helping new owners overcome challenges and achieve sustainable success
