About The Position

The Ag Teacher assists with directing and managing the Clifton ISD agricultural science program, with emphasis on Principles of Ag, Plant/Animal Science, and Floral Design. The teacher provides students with appropriate learning activities and experiences and opportunities to participate in extracurricular agricultural activities. The role includes planning activities to achieve district, region, and state recognition and ensuring compliance with local, state, and district requirements and policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate.
• Demonstrated competency in agricultural science.
• Knowledge of agricultural science and technology.
• Knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
• Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
• Ability to supervise agricultural field experiences.
• Ability to manage budget and personnel.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a high school teacher is preferred but not required.
