About The Position

The Ag Repairman ensures the proper installation, modification, and maintenance of beet receiving facilities, including truck scales, pilers, loaders, support equipment, and fabricated components for inventory use. The position also provides leadership in the Company’s safety programs and safety training. The employee must be able to plan job details without direct supervision, operate specified equipment safely, create work orders in the Company’s computerized maintenance management system, estimate time and material requirements, verify parts stock status, and use troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques to resolve issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Complete a Mechanical Aptitude Test, Basic Skills Test, and Welding test to verify basic skills and knowledge.
• Current and satisfactory DOT physical examination certification (DOT health card), with the ability to recertify.
• Meet all DOT requirements, including random drug testing.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Class A or B driver’s license, with a CDL obtained within 45 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, and maintain beet receiving facilities, including truck scales, pilers, loaders, and support equipment.
• Fabricate components for inventory use.
• Provide leadership in the Company’s safety programs and safety training.
• Plan job details without direct supervision.
• Safely operate a pay loader, skidsteer loader, and sugarbeet piler.
• Create work orders in the Company’s computerized maintenance management system, including estimating time and material requirements.
• Verify stock status of parts needed for maintenance activities.
• Use troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques to resolve issues.
