About The Position

The Ag Repairman ensures the proper installation, modification, and maintenance of beet receiving facilities, including truck scales, pilers, loaders, support equipment, and fabricated components for inventory use. The position also provides a leadership component in the Company’s safety programs and safety training.

The role requires planning job details without direct supervision, safely operating designated equipment, creating work orders in the Company’s computerized maintenance management system, verifying parts availability, and troubleshooting maintenance issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Pass a Mechanical Aptitude Test, Basic Skills Test, and Welding test to verify basic skills and knowledge.
• Current and satisfactory DOT physical examination certification (DOT health card), with ability to recertify.
• Meet all DOT requirements, including random drug testing.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Class A or B driver’s license, with a CDL obtained within 45 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan job details without direct supervision.
• Safely operate a pay loader, skidsteer loader, and sugarbeet piler.
• Create work orders using the Company’s computerized maintenance management system, including estimating time and material requirements.
• Verify stock status of parts required for maintenance activities.
• Use troubleshooting and problem-solving techniques to resolve issues.
• Install, modify, and maintain beet receiving facilities and related equipment.
• Fabricate components for inventory use.
• Provide leadership in the Company’s safety programs and safety training.
