Afterschool Teacher
About The Position
Columbia Academy Elementary & Middle School is seeking an Afterschool Teacher to ensure students’ safety and well-being while leading age-appropriate activities in a fun, educational manner. The role includes opportunities for additional hours during spring break and summer camps. Educators are supported with resources to create a positive learning environment and can access education incentives and career development programs. Columbia Academy is part of Endeavor Schools, an education management company with more than 100 schools in 14 states. Endeavor Schools offers schools a variety of educational styles and methods and emphasizes employee success and well-being.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Experience working with school-age children.
- MSDE School Age clock hour certification.
- CPR/First Aid qualification.
- Meet state-specific requirements set by minimum state standards and/or accreditation.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Patience, a nurturing attitude, and a sincere interest in the well-being and development of young learners.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field preferred.
