About The Position

Aftermarket Sales Trainee Atmus Filtration Technologies is a global leader in filtration solutions for on-highway commercial vehicles and off-highway vehicles and equipment. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced working environment with Atmus Filtration Technologies, who successfully completed IPO in May 2023. The Sales Trainee role is a rotational assignment designed to train the hired candidate on how to be an effective and contributing team member within the Atmus Aftermarket Sales organization in North America. The Sales Trainee will learn about Atmus products and selling processes along the path to being promoted and deployed as an Atmus Territory Manager (within the continental United States) upon the completion of the training program.

Requirements

  • Customer-facing experience – candidates must be eager to pursue a future career in professional B2B sales, which requires prior customer-facing interactions and an outgoing personality.
  • Responsiveness & Effective Communications – Exhibits responsiveness to sales team requests during working hours; capable of developing and delivering communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
  • Adaptable Problem Solving – Able to work cross-functionally with Atmus team members to search out dispersed information requested by members of the sales team, frame that information in the proper context, and deliver to the sales team with actionable insight.
  • Active Listening Skills – Able to listen to customer feedback to interpret needs, followed by explaining/demonstrating how Atmus products, solutions, and services can meet those specific customer needs.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a resource for Atmus Aftermarket Sales team members on sales projects and routine sales work; employs basic knowledge of effective project management and general business understanding. Action may include items such as part number cross-referencing, customer account look-ups, sales reports, and traveling to support field work or customer events.
  • Assist Atmus Aftermarket Account Managers with promotional activities by contacting customers to drive awareness and generate spend towards Atmus products.
  • Engage in specific professional development activities that both broaden and deepen the experience level of the Sales Trainee team members. Activities include participating in customer-facing interactions and engaging in both direct and indirect B2B sales activities alongside Atmus Territory Managers.
  • Partner with Atmus Aftermarket Sales leadership to fill temporary gaps within their AORs as Territory Managers are unavailable. These temporary gaps may include team members on leave, vacation, or upon departure from Atmus.
  • Plan dedicated time to shadow sales-adjacent Atmus team members in areas such as pricing, rebates, sales operations, sales support, customer support and warranty support; Document and share sales team learnings, drawing on education and experiences to enhance the Atmus Aftermarket Sales Trainee program iteration.
