About The Position

We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and talented individuals to work as Lead Instructors in our after-school programs. Lead instructors guide students through our world-class, project-based learning curriculum to discover new technology skills in coding, Minecraft, ROBLOX, video editing, game design, and more! This is a full school-year position with 10-week sessions, and options to continue into additional seasons. We offer paid training and in-room teaching experience with excited students.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Completed 48 college units minimally OR have taken and passed the NCLB Exam or compliant equivalent.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Significant experience working with children ages 8-14 or technology, or both.
Reliable transportation throughout Elk Grove Unified School District.
Must be available after school hours (approximately 2:00 - 6:00 PM), daily Monday - Friday.
Consistent attendance is REQUIRED.

Nice To Haves

Teaching experience in some capacity.
Experience with technology or teaching.
Experience with children in an educational setting.
Strong technology skills, such as a background in 3D modeling, digital arts, coding, game creation or design, animation, robotics, modifying games, video editing, competitive gaming, etc.
Significant knowledge of Minecraft or Roblox, including modding or streaming.

Responsibilities

Guide students through a project-based learning curriculum.
Teach technology skills in coding, Minecraft, ROBLOX, video editing, game design, and more.
Ensure consistent attendance as substitutes are not available.
Transport approximately 30 lbs of equipment.
