Requirements

• Experience working with school-age children in a childcare, education, or camp setting preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• early childhood education coursework a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain a patient, positive, and nurturing demeanor with children
• Must pass a background check in accordance with state childcare regulations
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Reliable, punctual, and a true team player

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage children in structured after-school activities, homework help, and enrichment programs
• Plan and implement age-appropriate games, crafts, and educational activities
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians during pick-up and drop-off
• Monitor student behavior and enforce positive discipline strategies
• Support children with homework assignments and academic reinforcement
• Collaborate with fellow staff to ensure smooth daily program operations
