About The Position

Silver Knights Chess Academy is seeking a full-time Program Manager to coordinate before or after school chess clubs, camps, and teaching staff in Northern Virginia (Fairfax, Alexandria, and southern Prince William). The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring high program quality in approximately 70-90 elementary schools each week and continued growth of clubs. Silver Knights Chess Academy has taught chess to over 120,000 children over the last 15+ years. We offer in-person classes, camps, and tournaments in Northern Virginia, DC, and Maryland, as well as an online Academy with players from all 50 states and 30+ countries. We are proud to make a positive impact on the lives of so many children and create the next generation of chess-lovers.

Requirements

Highly detail-oriented with strong administrative skills.
Enjoy working with children.
Self-starter who can prioritize work and complete tasks in a timely, efficient manner.
Proficiency in data entry, organization, and attention to detail.
Reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

Coordinate before or after school chess clubs, camps, and teaching staff.
Ensure high program quality in approximately 70-90 elementary schools each week.
Manage, schedule, mentor, visit, and evaluate a team of between 25 to 40 part-time chess coaches and aides.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with individual parents, schools & PTAs, and more.
Visit chess clubs to monitor program quality and maintain positive relationships with site representatives.
Coordinate marketing and registration for programs.
Review club notes and perform other associated duties to ensure high quality chess programs on a daily basis.
