About The Position

This position is responsible for executing planned activities for participants, both youth and adults, which may include Day Camp Program, after-school programs, and recreational classes. The role also involves providing oversight of the game room as needed, making suggestions for planned recreational activities and play time, and maintaining program records such as attendance records and parent sign-in/out logs. Additionally, the position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the Kroc Center Property.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED Or Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities
• Must have prior experience working with children
• Must be in good physical and mental health, capable of meeting the demands of the gymnasium and athletic field programs.
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs
• Must be willing and able to swim, get wet, and/or subject to getting dirty while working with children.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and sets up appropriate supplies and materials for planned recreational activities; ensures the children participants’ safety in utilizing the same.
• Enforces all rules that pertain to the camp, children’s program, and facility on a constant basis.
• Organizes and supervises recreational activities; observes, monitors, and supervises participants; maintains control of the participants and when needed displays proper discipline techniques.
• Ensures the safety and protection of participants at all times.
• Maintains program records, i.e. attendance records, parent sign in and out log.
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of Kroc Center Property.
• Provides oversight of the game room as needed.
• Make suggestions for planned recreational activities and play time.
