Elementary Tennis and Pickleball Coach

About The Position

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to teach fun, beginner-friendly pickleball and tennis sessions to elementary school students in grades K–5, ages 5–10, at various school sites around the Bay Area. The programs run Monday through Friday between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Coaches typically teach one approximately one-hour class per day, with a possible additional 30 minutes of pre-care. The sessions are designed to create a fun and energetic environment for beginner-level children. Pay is $50–$65 per session, and equipment is provided. Weekend tennis clinics may also be available. The role is in person, and candidates must live locally and be available to work at multiple schools across the Bay Area.

Requirements

Be at least 19 years old.
Enjoy working with children and be patient, enthusiastic, and reliable.
Have good communication and class-management skills.
Have reliable transportation around the East Bay and Peninsula.
Be fully vaccinated and willing to undergo a TB test and Live Scan background check before starting.
Submit a photo and short biography for the company website, including sports experience.
Have a valid work permit to work in the United States and already be eligible to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not provided.
Live locally and be available for in-person work.

Nice To Haves

Previous pickleball teaching or playing experience.
USPTA or PTR certification.

Responsibilities

Teach pickleball classes for students ages 5–10 using provided lesson plans.
Manage classes of 8–16 students and maintain a positive environment.
Attend a two-day training or shadowing session before starting.
Take attendance, manage student sign-ins, and interact with parents and school staff.
Capture a few class photos for documentation.
