About The Position
We are seeking a dynamic and engaging After School Instructor to lead our Martial Arts program for students in grades K-5. This role involves teaching martial arts techniques and principles in a fun and safe environment. The program runs from October to December on Wednesdays from 4:45 PM to 5:45 PM at our Brooklyn, NY 11225 location.
Requirements
- Experience in teaching martial arts.
- Ability to work with children in grades K-5.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Background check may be required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in after-school programs.
- Certification in a recognized martial arts discipline.
- First Aid/CPR certification.
Responsibilities
- Lead and instruct martial arts classes for students in grades K-5.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate martial arts curriculum.
- Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
- Manage classroom behavior and engagement.
- Communicate with program coordinators regarding student progress and any issues.
- Prepare and maintain necessary class materials.
