About The Position
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the Martial Arts Instructor will be responsible for leading and coordinating martial arts group lessons to registered participants. These classes/courses range from beginner to advanced levels.
Requirements
- MUST BE PROFICIENT IN TEACHING ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING DICIPLINES: Muay Thai / Boxing / Kickboxing / Tae Kwon Do, Wrestling / Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu / Judo, Other Qualifying martial arts
- Emergency/Standard First Aid and CPR C certification (REQUIRED)
- Certification OR experience to deliver and coordinate the activity (e.g., years in training in the specific art, belt promotions)
- Authorized to work in Canada
- Willing to work in the province of Quebec
- English communication both verbally and in writing at a level 4 (qualifier) on a scale of 0-4.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate martial arts group lessons.
- Adapt lessons to the specific groups - ranging from beginners to advanced.
- As required, modify moves/techniques for any members who may have limitations.
- Address any emergency issues requiring attention to supervisor or security.
