DREAM, formerly Harlem RBI, has grown to serve over 2,500 youth annually across East Harlem and the South Bronx through a network of seven PreK-12 DREAM Charter Schools and community sports-based youth development programs. Our mission is to create lifelong learners equipped for success through rigorous academics, social-emotional learning, family and community engagement, and health and wellness. We are expanding to serve 3,500 students across seven schools. The K-8 After School Enrichment Specialists, reporting to the Dean of Student Life, create diverse learning experiences in artistic, cultural, or STEM activities for students in grades Pre-K to 8 within DREAM's after-school programs (REAL Kids and DreamBuilders). These classes culminate in a project or performance. Previous offerings include Martial Arts, Hip-Hop Dance, Slam Poetry, Art Club, Robotics, STEM, and World Languages. Specialists lead 45-minute sessions for groups of 18-20 students, supported by a Youth Worker.
