About The Position

Help Make After School the Best Part of Their Day. School may be out, but there’s still plenty of learning, exploring, and fun ahead. As an After School Group Leader with Kamaʻāina Kids, you’ll spend your afternoons creating a place where elementary-age keiki feel safe, included, and excited to be there. You’ll lead games, plan activities, help with homework, and build the kind of relationships that can make a real difference in a child’s day. If you’re energetic, dependable, and enjoy working with kids, we’d love to meet you.

Requirements

• Genuinely enjoys working with elementary-age children
• Brings energy and enthusiasm to a group
• Is dependable, patient, and encouraging
• Can confidently lead activities and keep children engaged
• Works well as part of a team
• Is at least 18 years old and has a high school diploma or GED
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and reside in Hawai‘i (or have plans to relocate)

Responsibilities

• Lead games, recreation, and outdoor activities
• Plan arts, crafts, STEM, and other enrichment activities
• Support children with homework and schoolwork
• Encourage teamwork, confidence, and positive behavior
• Build positive relationships with keiki and their families
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized program
