About The Position

Kamaʻāina Kids is Hawaii’s largest locally-owned non-profit childcare provider, recognized as a Top Workplace for five consecutive years. They are seeking energetic and caring individuals to join their Waikoloa ‘ohana and support elementary-aged keiki (children) in their growth, learning, and afternoon activities. This role focuses on inspiring children and making a tangible impact daily.

Requirements

  • Genuine enjoyment of being around children and helping them succeed.
  • Ability to be a team player, showing up on time with a positive attitude.
  • Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or GED (select student aide roles available for those under 18).
  • Reliable commute to the Waimea Elementary School site.

Responsibilities

  • Lead groups of keiki (ages 5–10) through games, arts & crafts, and outdoor play.
  • Assist with homework and encourage positive behavior.
  • Ensure a secure and organized environment using 'Active Supervision'.
  • Collaborate with a team of leaders to manage the program effectively.
