After School Dance Teacher
About The Position
The After School Dance Teacher leads classes for younger and beginner-level children ages 5–10 at elementary schools across the Bay Area. Programs are held Monday through Friday between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Coaches typically teach one approximately one-hour class per day, with the possibility of an additional 30 minutes of pre-care. This part-time role involves about 2–5 hours of work per week and pays $50–$65 per session. Company-provided equipment and lesson plans are used. Coaches must live locally, work in person, and have reliable transportation. A two-day training or shadowing session is required before starting.
Requirements
- Must be at least 19 years old upon application.
- Must currently live locally and be available for in-person work.
- Must enjoy working with children in a positive and active setting.
- Must be flexible, reliable, and punctual.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be fully vaccinated and willing to undergo a TB test and Live Scan background check before starting.
- Must submit a photo and short biography for the company website, including an introduction to sports experience.
- Must already be eligible to work in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not provided.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in the sport being applied for, coaching, or working with children is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Teach classes for students ages 5–10 using provided lesson plans.
- Manage classes of 8–16 students and maintain a positive environment.
- Attend a two-day training or shadowing session before starting.
- Take attendance, manage student sign-ins, and interact with parents and school staff.
- Capture a few class photos for documentation.
