About The Position

LIFT Enrichment is hiring a Chef Teacher to lead fun, hands-on cooking workshops for students in Title I schools. The role involves teaching elementary and middle school students (K–8th grade) basic cooking, nutrition, and kitchen safety using the company’s provided curriculum. No professional chef experience is required; training is provided. The position is seasonal and part-time, with a rate of $25 per hour. The schedule is Wednesdays and Thursdays from 2:45 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., beginning January 6, 2027, in Cucamonga, California. A typical day includes two workshops and approximately five paid hours covering grocery shopping, preparation, teaching, and cleanup. The teacher leads groups of 15–20 students, transports program supplies to school, and is responsible for setup and cleanup.

Interested in cooking and working with children; professional culinary experience is not required.

Responsibilities

Lead groups of 15–20 students in grades K–8 through hands-on cooking activities.
Teach fun, healthy recipes using the provided curriculum.

Keep students engaged, excited, and involved.
Manage workshop setup, cooking, and cleanup.
