About The Position

LIFT Enrichment is hiring seasonal, part-time Chef Teachers to lead hands-on cooking workshops for elementary school students in Title I schools. The role serves Hawthorne USD and Inglewood USD. Teachers lead groups of 15–20 students in grades K–8 through fun, healthy recipes using LIFT’s provided curriculum, cookbooks, and recipes. No professional chef experience is required; training is provided. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2–3 days per week, from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. A typical day includes two workshops and approximately five paid hours covering grocery shopping, preparation, teaching, and cleanup. Paid training totals 10–15 hours over two weeks. Compensation is $28 per hour, with mileage reimbursement for travel from home to school and back, prompt grocery-shopping reimbursement, and a phone stipend. Time is tracked through a clock-in and clock-out system.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a teacher, paraprofessional, retired educator, coach, camp counselor, childcare provider, chef, home cook, or college student.

Responsibilities
