Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) is seeking a per diem After Hours Telephone Triage Nurse. The majority of scheduling needs will be for weekends and holidays, with shifts based on operational needs. This role involves telephone triage using the Barton Schmitt Telephone Triage Protocol and requires pediatric experience. The nurse practices at a competent to proficient level, demonstrating competence in Telehealth nursing and clinical leadership skills. They contribute to standards of care, unit goals, and serve as a role model and preceptor. The nurse must be competent in caring for patients with a wide variety of health issues and assists the Manager with administrative issues affecting clinical practices. Administratively responsible to the Manager and Ambulatory Nursing Director for nursing practice issues. The After Hours per diem nurse is a clinically competent practitioner of pediatric, family-centered nursing, providing safe nursing guidance to the general pediatric population using Office Hours or After Hours protocols. Minimum Weekend Requirement: 18 hours per 6-week schedule period. Holiday Requirement (Winter/Summer): 1 of each. Shifts Available: Evenings / Nights / Weekends, with potential for day shift based on needs of the unit and office hour partners.
