About The Position

CRMG is looking for an Affordable Property Manager with amazing attention to detail and exceptional customer service for the 146-unit community of Emmons Place Apartments. Emmons Place is a newer, low-income housing tax credit apartment community located in NW Portland's Alphabet District, with amenities including a community lounge & courtyard, bike storage and resident services. The Affordable Property Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day property management including marketing, maintaining property integrity, overseeing a team of 5, screening prospective residents, collecting rents, income certifications, serving notices, developing reports, and preparing agreements. We are looking for a special individual with the skills and experience to support a high-needs population, including those facing homelessness and mental health challenges, as well as the ability to manage and resolve complex housing issues. Requirements

  • Two (2) years of previous customer service experience
  • One (1) year of previous property management experience
  • Three (3) to four (4) years of management experience in affordable housing, specifically with Project Based Vouchers (PBV) and Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH)
  • Familiarity with local housing authorities, non-profit organizations and other service providers within the affordable housing ecosystem
  • Basic experience with MS365 including TEAMS, Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
  • Ability to perform bookkeeping tasks involving collecting rent, preparation of reports, agreements, etc.
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to learn quickly while paying attention to detail
  • Available for after-hours emergencies
  • Understand and administer landlord/tenant laws, State and Federal Labor Laws, Fair Housing Laws, Multnomah County Tenant Laws, and safety protocols
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • A current valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and proof of auto insurance

  • Previous Yardi Property Management Software experience is preferred
