About The Position

Commercial and Residential Management Group (CRMG) is seeking an Affordable Property Manager for the 54-unit apartment community of Lents Commons. This LEED-certified community offers amenities such as a laundry facility, bike storage, and a community recreation room. The property is conveniently located near shopping, dining, and public transportation, including TriMet bus lines and the MAX Green line. Lents Park is also nearby, offering various recreational facilities. The Affordable Property Manager will oversee daily operations, including marketing, property maintenance, resident screening, rent collection, serving notices, report generation, and agreement preparation. The property includes sixteen (16) income-restricted apartments managed through the Portland Housing Bureau, with water/sewer/garbage included. The remaining thirty-eight (38) apartments are market-rate, with a third-party service billing residents monthly for water/sewer/garbage.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of previous customer service experience.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of previous property management experience.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of affordable housing programs experience (LIHTC or similar).
  • Basic experience with MS365 including TEAMS, Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.
  • Ability to perform bookkeeping tasks involving collecting rent, preparation of reports, agreements, etc.
  • Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • The ability to learn quickly while paying attention to detail.
  • Understand and administer landlord/tenant laws, State and Federal Labor Laws, Fair Housing Laws, and safety protocols.
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • A current valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and proof of auto insurance.
