About The Position

Facilitates all aspects of the apartment leasing process, qualifying prospective residents and ensuring compliance with applicable subsidies. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, functioning and providing outstanding service to prospective residents, current residents, and third-party agencies. This role involves qualifying prospective residents by ensuring that documentation adheres to the HPD/HDC Marketing Handbook and LIHTC guidelines, following up with prospects and leads to increase occupancy, and collecting eligibility documentation to determine applicant eligibility based on income restrictions. It also includes performing credit/criminal background screenings, requesting and reviewing initial verifications of applicants' income/assets/housing, assembling tenant files for accounting processing, and maintaining audit-ready files. The role also involves completing subsidy packages (Section 8, HRA, FHEPS, etc.), scheduling households for unit viewing, communicating with property management for key pickup, preparing leases and coordinating signatures, and preparing and presenting daily residential reports. Administrative tasks and other related duties as assigned are also part of this role.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience in affordable housing tax credit leasing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Prepares leases and coordinates with the households for signature
  • Prepares and presents daily residential reports
  • Performs administrative tasks and other related duties as assigned
