About The Position

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience in affordable housing tax credit leasing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook), required
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Must have excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferred
  • Proficiency in Yardi Affordable, preferred
  • Tax Credit Certification, preferred
  • Bilingual is a plus (Spanish).

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates all aspects of the apartment leasing process, qualifying prospective residents and ensure compliance with applicable subsidies.
  • Functions and provides outstanding service to prospective residents, current residents, and third-party agencies.
  • Facilitates all aspects of the apartment leasing process, qualifying prospective residents by ensuring that the documentation adheres to the HPD/HDC Marketing Handbook and LIHTC guidelines
  • Follows up with prospects and leads to increase occupancy
  • Collects eligibility documentation & determine eligibility of applicant based on income restriction process
  • Performs credit/criminal background screening
  • Requests and reviews initial verifications of applicants income/ assets/ housing from applicants and third parties
  • Assembles tenant files, submit to accounting for processing, and maintain audit-ready
  • Completes subsidy packages (Section 8, HRA, FHEPS, etc.)
  • Schedules households for unit viewing and communicates with property management to ensure successful key pickup
  • Prepares leases and coordinates with the households for signature
  • Prepares and presents daily residential reports
  • Performs administrative tasks and other related duties as assigned
