About The Position

The Department of Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures is looking for affiliate faculty for teaching an introductory course of French. The term is Fall 2026 and it runs from 8/24/2026 to 12/13/2026. Responsibilities

  • For traditional, in-person courses, the requirements are to meet in-person with the class three times a week when scheduled and hold 1 hour of office hours per week.
  • Faculty will participate in designing their own course (in consultation with the chair of the department).
  • For post-traditional, remote courses, the requirements are to deliver recorded virtual lectures, actively engage with student posts on the discussion board, respond to student questions, and provide feedback and grade assignments.
  • Faculty hold 1 ½ virtual office hours per week.
