About The Position

The Chicago School is seeking an Affiliate Faculty member for its Criminology Department within the College of Undergraduate Studies. This role involves teaching undergraduate courses and contributing to academic-related assignments. Requirements

  • A minimum of a master's degree in criminal justice, criminology, or a closely related field from a regionally-accredited institution
  • Prior undergraduate teaching experience
  • Experience teaching in online/asynchronous environment
  • Experience with program learning outcome assessment
  • Ability to refresh course materials so they are current

Nice To Haves

  • Undergraduate faculty mentoring experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Teach a minimum of six credit hours of instruction, or equivalent in academic assignments.
  • Perform additional academic-related assignments equivalent to the amount of work required for additional hours of instruction such as committee work and activities related to program learning outcome assessment (PLO), course lead responsibilities, and student mentoring.
  • Perform additional duties as determined by the Department Chair.
