About The Position

Brigham Young University (BYU) is seeking an Affiliate Faculty member in Civil & Construction Engineering with a specialization in Seismic Structures. This position involves collaboration with faculty on research related to the seismic resilience of structures and presenting guest lectures in graduate classes on seismic design and sustainability. Requirements

  • PhD in Civil Engineering (must be completed by the start date).
  • 10+ years of professional experience.
  • Must relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.
  • If a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, must hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
  • Must abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.
  • Successful candidates are expected to support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrines of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
