Aesthetic Nurse Extern
About The Position
Serotonin Anti-Aging Centers is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Aesthetic Nurse Extern interested in aesthetics, wellness, and helping clients look and feel their best. The externship offers exposure to the medical aesthetics and wellness industry, mentorship, education, and hands-on learning with experienced aesthetic RNs and injectors. It is unpaid and intended for someone pursuing a career in aesthetic nursing. Clinical duties are limited to activities permitted by Illinois law, the extern’s training and authorization, and clinic supervision policies. The opportunity may lead to potential employment after graduation, depending on qualifications, performance, and available positions. The position is based at Serotonin Centers in Naperville, Illinois.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
- Passionate about medical aesthetics, skincare, and wellness.
- Professional, dependable, and eager to learn.
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating patience, empathy, and professionalism in client interactions.
- Prior sales experience and willingness to upsell skin care products.
- Commitment to the success of the center and willingness to contribute to its growth.
- All candidates will be subject to a background check.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in aesthetics, dermatology, or wellness is a plus, but not required.
- Knowledge of skin care trends, products, and treatments is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed medical professionals with patient preparation and room setup.
- Assist with social media content, recording, and before-and-after pictures.
- Support daily clinic operations and help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
- Observe and assist with aesthetic and wellness treatments as permitted by applicable regulations and clinic policies.
- Assist with patient intake, documentation, and follow-up tasks as authorized.
- Educate patients on general services, treatment preparation, and aftercare under appropriate supervision.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow infection control and safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service and contribute to a positive patient experience.
- Assist with event planning and participate in events.
- Contribute to the center’s growth and work collaboratively with the team.
