About The Position

Kaas Tailored is seeking a detailed, focused, and quality-driven Aerospace Upholstery Technician. This role involves creating highly engineered subcomponents built of foam for aerospace upholstery products. The ideal candidate is comfortable using hand tools, can read and comprehend production notes, and can follow directions to maintain high-quality standards. Aerospace Technicians who thrive in this work environment are systematic thinkers, quick learners, and enjoy working with their hands. The regular schedule is 5:45 AM - 4:15 PM, Monday - Thursday, with potential overtime opportunities on Fridays.

Responsibilities

• High attention to detail.
• Fine finger manipulation of small components and upholstered frames.
• Improve your processes and yourself each day.
• Operate within a team atmosphere to complete a product.
• Utilize different types of saws - band saw, table saw, panel saw.
• Utilize different types of pneumatic fasteners to assemble finished frames- staple guns, spring clip guns.
• Stand for the duration of a 10-hour shift.
• Able to lift 50 lbs frequently.
• Adhere materials to finished frames, such as textile and foam.
• Inspect final product for defects prior to shipment.
• Learn and do continuous improvement activities.
• Able and willing to be respirator certified within one month of hire.

Benefits

• Starting wage of $21.50 per hour with a clear path for wage growth.
