About The Position

This role involves using hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products. The position requires adherence to Military Specifications 1595 in the following materials: Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum. Conflicts between Department of Labor 23010 category description and the NAVAIR Manual NA 01-1A-34 will be resolved by the NA 01-1A-34 taking precedence.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the field of DOD military aviation maintenance in the last ten (10) years.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience of aeronautical welding in an aviation maintenance environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, experience, and working level skills/ability in area of aviation and aerospace welding, and structures sheet metal and fabrication.
  • Ability to provide appropriate proof of identity and eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Satisfactory references and background check.
  • Successfully passing a pre-employment drug test.
  • Ability to get a required clearance by your effective start date, if needed.

Responsibilities
