The Boeing Company’s Defense, Space & Security Vertical Lift Mission Assurance Organization is seeking an Aerospace Safety Engineer to join its System Safety Engineering Team in Mesa, Arizona, supporting the Attack Programs. The team is hiring at Entry Level (Level 1) and Associate (Level 2). The role assesses hazards across subsystems including airframe, electrical, mechanical, and software. The engineer works across the program lifecycle—from conceptual development through design, test, production, and sustainment of fielded aircraft for U.S. government and international customers—and interfaces with engineering, program management, customers, and regulatory agencies. The position focuses on identifying potential hazards to aircraft and crew, developing and applying system safety analyses, and communicating safety and risk findings. Candidates should have an engineering-related degree and experience with aircraft systems; experience with aviation or rotorcraft and safety standards such as ARP 4761 and MIL-STD-882E is identified as desirable in the posting. Military experience is a plus. The role offers the opportunity to expand skills in a critical discipline and lead appropriate efforts. This is a first-shift position. It is not safety-sensitive, does not require a security clearance, and is not contingent upon a program award. Applicants must meet U.S. export control requirements as a U.S. Person. The employer will not sponsor employment visas.
