About The Position

The Boeing Company’s Defense Air Dominance Division Systems Safety & Mission Assurance organization is hiring an Associate (Level 2) or Experienced (Level 3) Aircraft Safety Engineer for the US Navy Unmanned MQ-25 Stingray program in Berkeley, Missouri. The engineer works with other engineering disciplines to assess aircraft hardware, software, and firmware designs, identify potential safety hazards, and propose solutions to reduce or eliminate hazards in support of product safety and customer mission success. Work includes analyzing and mitigating safety hazards and addressing issues identified during aircraft manufacturing and flight testing. Boeing is seeking collaborative engineers with aircraft systems or avionics/software backgrounds, attention to technical detail, and strong critical-thinking skills. Experience with MIL-STD 882, JSSSEH, and DO-178/DO-254 standards is highly desirable.
