Aerospace Production - Trimmer I - 2nd Shift
About The Position
SEKISUI Aerospace in Renton, WA is looking for someone with a sharp eye for detail, steady hands, and a strong commitment to quality. This is a Level I position, considered an entry/junior level individual contributor and semi-skilled worker. The Trimmer uses hand tools or hand-held power tools to cut and trim a variety of manufactured composite parts. The role requires little or no prior experience and no more than a few months of training, often received on the job. Individuals in this role have little or no autonomy and work under close supervision, achieving competency with assigned skills over time. Requirements
- Ability to read and understand detailed instructions.
- Excellent eye and hand coordination.
- Skilled in the use of pneumatic router and drills motors.
- Ability to utilize measuring equipment, including scales and calipers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Must meet ITAR export control compliance requirements, requiring a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 (U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Composite training preferred.
- One year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Composite manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience in aerospace industry preferred.
Responsibilities
- Trim and deburr fabricated components using pneumatic power tools.
- Sign off on all work performed, reporting all production discrepancies and schedule concerns to supervisor.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment or supplies; promoting safety in the workplace.
