About The Position

Vantor is seeking Aerospace analysts to perform high fidelity modeling and simulation of satellites, aircraft, and their ISR sensor suites for a variety of government and commercial customers. This role involves instantiating complex vignettes, architecting studies and trades, developing tools for data analysis, performing detailed Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) checks of simulation input and results, and presenting findings to senior-level decision-makers and customers. The position requires strong problem-solving and thinking skills to quickly update existing models and scenarios, and the ability to work both independently and in team environments. This role plays a key part in helping to design and analyze systems critical to national security, with studies conducted in support of government and industry customers in the greater Northern Virginia/Washington, D.C./Maryland area.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship Required with an active or current TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university, in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science.
  • Willing to work on-site.

Nice To Haves

  • An advanced degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of the theory and applications of astrodynamics, remote sensing, spacecraft design, aerospace systems operations, complex systems integration.
  • Experience with the design, development and software implementation of complex mathematical algorithms.
  • Ability to develop stand alone engineering tools/scripts via Python and/or Excel.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, resolve technical risks and issues, develop technical reports, and collaborate with government and other stakeholders to implement recommended solutions.
  • Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with both clients and teammates to achieve program goals.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and dynamic work ethic with a strong desire to contribute to the mission.
