About The Position

As a CACI Mission & Engineering Support NAVWAR Engineer (Modeling and Simulation) supporting the Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) you will contribute to enabling Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) superiority for the Department of Defense, interagency, and coalition partners. Located at Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico, the JNWC is the DOD’s Center of Excellence for Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR) and PNT capabilities integration. In this pivotal role, you will support the warfighter by providing expert modeling and simulation support to assure and prevent PNT information through coordinated employment of space, cyberspace, and electronic warfare operations. Your work will directly impact joint planning, Operation Plan (OPLAN) analysis, and the execution of NAVWAR operations across all domains and military operations. You will play a critical part in assessing offensive and defensive NAVWAR operational capabilities in contested environments, identifying knowledge gaps, and developing tactics, techniques, and procedures to mitigate NAVWAR vulnerabilities. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on national security by ensuring PNT superiority and supporting the warfighter with cutting-edge NAVWAR solutions.

  • Must possess an active Interim Secret clearance with eligibility to upgrade to Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in an engineering discipline (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering) or a related field.
  • Proven experience in researching and developing multi-function small form factor payloads for NAVWAR-based missions.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and analyze models of novel algorithmic concepts to produce distributed electronic sensing effects for NAVWAR payloads.
  • Prior leadership or management experience in higher-level roles, showcasing the ability to lead teams and projects effectively.
  • 3 to 10 years of relevant experience in NAVWAR, electronic warfare, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desired for senior-level positions.
  • Master of Science (MS) degree in a related field of study (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Reverse engineer existing NAVWAR signal processing solutions, ensuring that system requirements are synthesized, allocated, and derived to create a fully defined and mission-compliant system architecture.
  • Support the development and implementation of client requirements for RF solutions, including services, products, technologies, and capabilities tailored for airborne mission environments.
  • Perform Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) testing on systems susceptible to denial or deception of PNT/GPS.
  • Support technical reviews of vendor hardware and software products and deliverables.
  • Interface development and create software algorithms and models for simulation.
  • Research state-of-the-art signal processing algorithms.
  • Collaborate with both internal and external customers to integrate solutions into a diverse range of applications and use cases.
