About The Position

Vantor is seeking an Aerospace Analyst to perform high-fidelity modeling and simulation of satellites, aircraft, and their ISR sensor suites for government and commercial customers. This role involves instantiating complex vignettes, architecting studies and trades, developing data analysis tools, performing QA/QC checks, and presenting results to senior decision-makers. The position requires strong problem-solving skills to update models and scenarios, and the ability to work both independently and in a team. This role is crucial in helping to design and analyze systems for critical national challenges, supporting government and industry customers in the Northern Virginia/Washington, D.C./Maryland area.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship Required with an active or current TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university, in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science.
  • Willing to work on-site.
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of data to find patterns and express that data using charts and graphs.
  • Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with both clients and teammates to achieve program goals.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and dynamic work ethic with a strong desire to contribute to the mission.

Nice To Haves

  • An advanced degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of the theory and applications of astrodynamics, remote sensing, spacecraft design, aerospace systems operations, complex systems integration.
  • Experience with the design, development and software implementation of complex mathematical algorithms.
  • Ability to develop stand alone engineering tools/scripts via Python and/or Excel.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, resolve technical risks and issues, develop technical reports, and collaborate with government and other stakeholders to implement recommended solutions.
