About The Position

RMB Products is seeking an Aerospace Assembler responsible for fabricating, assembling, and finishing thermoplastic aerospace components and assemblies using engineering drawings, work instructions, hand tools, adhesives, and specialized equipment. This position plays a critical role in ensuring products meet customer specifications, quality standards, and production requirements. Overtime may be required based on business needs. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, specifications, standards, safety documents, and manufacturing procedures.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work with manufacturing software systems.
  • Ability to use measuring devices and understand shop fundamentals.
  • Candidates must qualify as a "U.S. Person" as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), 22 CFR 120-130.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, aerospace, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and measurement equipment.
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
  • Willingness to learn thermoplastic welding processes and obtain plastic welding certification.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and assemble thermoplastic aerospace components and assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, work orders, and customer specifications.
  • Utilize a variety of hand and pneumatic tools for trimming, routing, drilling, riveting, bonding, and welding thermoplastic parts.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, travelers, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Apply adhesives, rivets, nut plates, fasteners, Nomex, foam, and other assembly materials as required.
  • Mix, apply, cure, and inspect part seal coatings in accordance with process requirements.
  • Perform bonding operations, including adhesive preparation, fixture setup, curing, and repair activities.
  • Inspect completed assemblies and verify part markings, workmanship, and compliance with specifications.
  • Set up and operate basic fabrication and assembly equipment when required.
  • Utilize measuring and inspection tools to verify product quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Properly handle equipment, chemicals, hazardous materials, and other production resources in accordance with safety requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Work cooperatively with team members to meet production schedules and quality expectations.
